If you use the command line option --tempdir /usr/local/tmp with the developerstudio.sh installer script on Oracle Enterprise Linux 6, the installation fails silently. This also happens if your TMPDIR environment variable specifies a directory in /usr/local.
The workaround is to specify a directory that is not in the /usr/local directory.
