Service Overview

For service, Oracle Flash Accelerator F640 PCIe Card contains updatable flash ROM for storing the BIOS and firmware, as well as NVRAM for storing nonvolatile configuration data. Use Oracle Hardware Management Pack to monitor and service Oracle F640 Flash Cards. You can also use Oracle Hardware Management Pack for troubleshooting. In addition, you can monitor Oracle Flash Accelerator F640 PCIe Card health and flash media drive life through card bracket status indicator LEDs. Oracle F640 Flash Card has four status indicator LEDs on the card bracket to indicate activity, drive health, and status. See Status Indicators.

Oracle Flash Accelerator F640 PCIe Card requires no periodic maintenance. For data protection, Oracle F640 Flash Card is designed with energy storage components to complete buffered writes to the persistent flash storage in case of a sudden power loss. These energy storage components are designed for the life of Oracle F640 Flash Card and do not require periodic maintenance.
