Installation Overview

Read this overview information section before installing the Oracle Flash Accelerator F640 PCIe Card into a server.

For information on how to install your Oracle F640 Flash Card, refer to your server documentation. Your server chassis might contain a card carrier or other configuration. Refer to the server service manual for PCIe card installation instructions and additional information.

The bracket assembly should not be disassembled for any reason by the user.

Oracle Flash Accelerator F640 PCIe Card Installation Tasks

To install your Oracle Flash Accelerator F640 PCIe Card into a server system, refer to the steps described in the following table.

Steps Task See 1. Prepare the Oracle F640 Flash Card for installation. Carefully unpack the card. Inspect the card for damage. Follow ESD precautions. Preparing Oracle F640 Flash Card for Installation 2. Insert the Oracle F640 Flash Card in an available PCIe slot with server power in the off state. or Insert the Oracle F640 Flash Card in an available PCIe carrier with server power in the on state. Install a New Oracle F640 Flash Card (Server Power-Off) or Install a New Oracle F640 Flash Card (Server Power-On)
