Use Tooltips in Visualizations
In Oracle Analytics, you can use interactive tooltips for visualization titles and data points to give consumers easy access to information and insights.
Visualization Title Tooltips
When consumers hover over the visualization title, a tooltip displays with the title configured in the visualization Title property. You can show, hide, or customize this tooltip.
Data Point Tooltips
When consumers hover over a data point in a visualization, a tooltip displays relevant information about the data point. You can use the Tooltip property to control what information is shown in the tooltip and how it’s formatted. For certain visualizations, you can use the Tooltip Guide property to control the behavior of the tooltip.
Tooltip Toolbar
When consumers select a data point in a visualization, a tooltip toolbar displays above the tooltip for the data point. The tooltip toolbar gives consumers quick access to the following navigation options:
- Keep Selected
: Filter the visualization on the selected values.
- Remove Selected
: Remove the selected values from the visualization.
- Drill Action Menu
: Drill to a related area of the data.
- Data Action Menu
: Select from available data actions.
- Explain Selected
: If enabled, access Contextual Insights for the visualization.
