Hiding and showing data objects and attributes

You have the option of hiding published data objects and attributes you no longer need.

Hiding and showing data objects from the data model

Keep the following in mind when hiding and showing data objects:

  • You can hide any data object in the data model.
  • After hiding a data object, all attributes in the data object are hidden as well.
  • You cannot reuse a name for a data object even after hiding it.
  • If you show a data object with individual attributes that were previously hidden, those attributes will remain hidden.

Follow the steps for Hiding and showing data objects.

Hiding and showing attributes from the data model

You cannot reuse a name for an attribute even after hiding it.

The following attributes cannot be hidden:

  • Newly created attributes that haven't been published to the data model. You can delete unpublished attributes.
  • Pre-configured system attributes.
  • Attributes used in a relationship. Learn more about Relationships.

To hide attributes, follow the steps for Managing attributes and select Hide.
