Email Campaign Designer - About Your Campaign

Important: Campaign Designer is now generally available. It replaces the Campaign Workbook for all channels except MMS. This change does not affect Classic Campaigns.

In this section of the Campaign Designer, you can define your campaign's purpose and specify who your target audience is by selecting a profile list. The About your campaign panel allows you to make changes to campaign details you specified when you first created the campaign. Click An image of the Expand icon to expand the About your campaign panel. To discard any changes in the panel, click Cancel. To save your changes, click Save .

Important: If you change a campaign’s name, folder, marketing program, marketing strategy, subject line, or external campaign ID, then historical and new launches for both triggered and standard launches will take these new values in Insight. It does not impact CED behavior as CED retains an unchanged ‘snapshot’ of values.

  • Description: Any description or notes
  • Purpose: select Promotional or Transactional from the drop down list

    Transactional campaigns, which are typically used for purchase confirmations and similar communications, have no automatic suppression, no footers, and no automatic opt-out mechanism.

  • Marketing Strategy: The marketing strategy

    Marketing strategies are defined by the Account Administrator from the Account management page.

  • Marketing Program: The marketing program

    Marketing program values are defined by the Account Administrator from the Account management page.

  • Folder: Required. The folder for the campaign.
  • Profile list: Required. The list for the campaign. You can change your list in the About your campaign section of the Campaign Designer, or in the Data sources dialog.
  • Brand: If Multi-brand is enabled for your account, you will see the brand associated with the profile list selected for the campaign.
