Generating Narrative Insights for Credit Memos
With Narrative Insights, you can use generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) to quickly understand key details in a Credit Memo record. The generated insights summarize transaction context, application details, and notable points that may need review.
Because this content is AI-generated, output can vary each time you generate insights, even when the underlying record data is unchanged.

This feature helps you:

Understand the transaction context of a credit memo more quickly.

Identify where the credit memo may be applied.

Find potential issues, such as typos or inconsistencies.

Reduce manual cross-checking across related transactions.
This feature is available to users who can access Credit Memo records and have the required record permissions.
The Enable Narrative Insights preference on the AI Preferences page controls whether you can generate insights. This preference is enabled by default. Users with the Administrator role can manage this preference at any time.

To generate insights for a credit memo:

Open the credit memo record you want to review.

Click the Generate Insight button.

Review the generated insights.
Depending on available data, the insight can include:

Transaction Information, such as identifying details, status, and created-from context.

Application Details, such as remaining amount and related transactions.

Points of Interest, such as anomalies, inconsistencies, or possible data-quality issues.
The insights may omit a section when it finds no meaningful information.
