Direct Invoice Payment
The Direct Invoice Payment feature lets your customers conveniently pay an invoice online, using a computer or mobile device. Instead of having to contact you directly, your customers receive an email with a link to the invoice in the My Account area of your Commerce website. They can then use a stored payment method to pay without re-entering their info.
Direct Invoice Payment is a different feature from Payment Link. Direct Invoice Payment lets your customers make payments in the My Account area of your website and Payment Link lets customers make payments on a payment link checkout page. For information about Payment Link, see Payment Link.
After configuring the Direct Invoice Payment URL, you can customize the email and invoice templates to inform customers that an invoice is ready for payment.
