Goal Tracking with Performance Metrics
Performance metrics use real-time data in NetSuite to automatically update your goal's actual value. For example, if your goal is to win 10 new customers, you can use the New Customers metric. The New Customers metric finds how many customers placed their first order with you as their sales representative. NetSuite also gives you default performance metrics, but you can also create your own.
A performance metric starts calculating the actual value when you move the goal to In Progress. The results are locked when you close the goal (when the status is completed, not completed, or canceled). When you close a goal, any transactions in the goal period that happen after the closing date aren't included.
