Electronic Tax Filing in Tax Reporting Framework
Tax Reporting Framework SuiteApp supports electronic tax filing of country tax reports to the tax agency website.
This feature is currently only available to Making Tax Digital.
Tax Reporting Framework provides the following statuses visible on the Country Tax Reports page:
-
Draft
-
Authorization required
-
Authorization failed
-
Validated
-
Validation failed
-
Submission result delayed
-
Submission failed
-
Submitted
The statuses differ based on which part of the electronic filing process the report is currently in, or if there are any errors.
Tax Reporting Framework also supports manual submission. On some VAT reports, you can click the Submit Manually button. This sets the status of the report to Manually Submitted on the Country Tax Reports page. This is useful when you submit VAT reports to tax authorities outside of NetSuite.
To view a list of error scenarios that lead to submission errors of the United Kingdom VAT100 report to HMRC’s Making Tax Digital system, see Making Tax Digital: Submission Errors in Tax Reporting Framework.
