Summary of GL Matching Results

For a complete view of the transaction lines that the GL Matching SuiteApp has matched (or partially matched), you can get a summary of the results using saved search.

After the SuiteApp has been installed, NetSuite installs the GL Matching Report saved search. The contents of the saved search varies if you have the Full Multi-Book Accounting feature enabled in your NetSuite account or not.

Important:

If you disable or enable the Full Multi-Book Accounting feature after you have installed the GL Matching SuiteApp, the data in the saved search will be rendered inaccurate and may cause errors. To resolve this, you must contact the NetSuite Customer Support to have your GL Matching SuiteApp updated.

Accessing GL Matching Saved Searches

You can find a list of transaction lines with GL Matching data (matching code, matching status, matching reference, and matching date) by accessing the GL Matching Report saved search. The GL Matching Report saved search contains all transaction lines that have already been matched (or partially matched) by the SuiteApp. It also provides a link to the details of each matched group.

To access the GL Matching Report saved search, go to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches. Click View beside the title of the saved search that you want to access.

On the GL Matching Report saved search results page, there are three GL Matching Report-specific filters that you can use to display results:

  • Period – shows transaction lines associated with the selected accounting period.

  • Accounting Book – shows transaction lines that belong to the accounting book defined in this filter.

  • Account – shows transaction lines that belong to the account defined in this filter. If you have the Account Numbering feature enabled, the results also display the account number besides the account name.

  • Name – shows transaction lines associated with the selected customer or vendor.

The customer should rely on the GL Matching Dashboard to get the correct transaction lines for matched, partially matched, and not matched.

Suppose customer anyway wants to get the correct results of filtering the matching status of transaction lines using the saved search "GL Matching Report" saved search. In that case, the customer can add the Internal ID (Summary Type: GROUP) as one of the columns in the result subtab and add some filters to filter Account, Subsidiary, Book, Date, Posting Status, etc, in the Criteria subtab. In that way, the saved search will return transaction lines that are not matched, partially matched, and fully matched. Then, the customer can export the saved search results to CSV or Excel; from there, they can use Excel to filter on the "Matching Status" column to get the desired results.

Note:

If you have the Full Multi-Book Accounting feature enabled, the GL Matching Report saved search results will be categorized according to the accounting book to which they are linked.

With saved search, you can share the summaries of GL Matching results and display it on your home page. You can also export the saved search results to CSV, Excel File, or PDF by clicking their icons at the top of the page. For more information, see Saved Searches.
