Applying Discounts to UPS Shipping Rates
NetSuite Ship Central is NetSuite's standard shipping solution. For more information, see NetSuite Ship Central.
The Shipping Integration with FedEx, UPS, and USPS/Endicia is not available to new customers. It is available with limited support only for existing customers before they transition to NetSuite Ship Central.

If UPS gives you discounts, you can display discounted shipping rates. You can also offer customers a discount and cover the remaining cost.
You can offer discounted UPS rates when you use real-time rates. For more information, see UPS Real-Time Rates.
To offer free shipping, use promotions or create a shipping item with a $0.00 flat rate. Don't set an existing shipping item's discount rate to 0.

To offer a discount for a UPS shipping item:

Go to Lists > Accounting > Shipping Items.

Next to the shipping item to offer a discount for, click Edit.

Click the Shipping Rate subtab.

Select UPS Real-Time Rate.

Enter the Discount Rate. NetSuite multiplies the real-time rate by this value to calculate the discounted shipping rate.
For example, to offer a 25% discount off the UPS real-time rate, enter 0.75.

Click Save.
The discounted rate now appears on transactions and on your website.
The UPS real-time rate is multiplied by the discount rate to calculate the discounted shipping rate.
