Execute Flow Schedules at a Workstation
You can now model your workstations as part of a flow manufacturing production line, so that production operators can execute flow schedules and line operations at workstations. You can also assign workstations to individual line operations for the production line.
When you check in to a workstation as an operator, you automatically see the next flow schedule for the assigned line operation. You can proceed to complete this flow schedule or another one from the list of schedules. If you have configured the production line to support reporting of completions at an operation level, you can optionally report the completion of intermediate operations of a flow schedule. In addition, you can also view and create shift notes or production exceptions.

Production operators can use a frictionless, user-friendly interface to execute flow schedules in real time, minimizing data entry and overheads.
Here's the demo of these capabilities:
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management No Longer Optional From: Update 26A
Follow the steps below to execute flow schedules at a workstation:
- Associate a workstation with a production line.
- Optionally, assign the workstation to a line operation sequence for the production line.
Tips And Considerations
- You can associate a workstation with only one production line at a time.
- If a production line workstation is not assigned to any line operation, you can execute the end-of-line operation from the workstation.
- You can change or remove workstation to production line associations at any time by editing the workstation details from the Workstations page in the Work Definitions work area.
- If a workstation is associated with a production line, it can only execute flow schedules. Process and discrete work method work order operations cannot be executed at a workstation assigned to a production line.
- The Operator Workbench is an alternative user interface to execute flow schedules on a production line.

Access Requirements
Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains the following privileges can execute flow schedules at a workstation:
- Execute Flow Schedules (WIP_EXECUTE_FLOW_SCHEDULES_PRIV)
- Execute Production at a Workstation (WIP_EXECUTE_WORKSTATION)
- View Workstations (WIS_VIEW_WORKSTATIONS_PRIV)
- Manage Workstations (WIS_MANAGE_WORKSTATIONS)
These privileges were available before this update.
In addition to the preceding privileges, you should have the following data security configured for your role and user:
- Manufacturing plant data security: Set the security context value for the manufacturing plant to the manufacturing organization.
- Item class data security is configured with the View Item Basic action set to allowed.
