Configuring a Constraint Set
Constraint sets are used for multiple purposes. In this example, a constraint set is used to determine the trade item structure associated with a kit on a trade transaction line. Global Trade Management (GTM) uses the details of the constraint set to match a trade item structure to a transaction line based on your business requirements. When you create a constraint set, you can identify the constraints GTM uses for matching including inventory organization, partner, partner site, date qualifier, reference numbers, remarks, and flex field attributes. In this example, you are using inventory organization to match a trade item structure to the transaction line. You can indicate the following details on the constraint set:
- Constraint Set Type – A constraint set type of TRANSACTION LINE – LOOKUP TRADE ITEM STRUCTURE must be selected to match the trade item structure to a transaction line.
- On the Constraints tab page, specify the following:
- Constraint ID – For this example, select the Constraint ID as LINE ITEM STR – INVENTORY ORG to match the party on the transaction line with the inventory organization on the trade item structure. The Party Qualifier is entered on the next tab page.
- On the Constraint Details tab page, specify the following:
- Inventory Organization – Select the Involved Party Qualifier on the transaction line that GTM will compare with the inventory organization on the trade item structure.
