Configuring Trade Item Structure Components Modeled as Items
You can use the trade item structure components within the trade item structure to model the individual items within your kit.
For example, your kit has four items - a drill, a circular saw, a sander, and a flashlight. For each of these components within the trade item structure, you can specify:
- Item ID – this is the linkage to the underlying item containing information for a component. Each component will have an Item ID specified. Within each item, you can include:
- Item Type – specifies if the component item is manufactured or purchased from a supplier.
- Effective/Expiration Dates (if applicable)
- Description
- Trade Details – specifies information such as product classification codes. This information may be used in other Global Trade Management (GTM) processes.
- Quantity – specifies how many of each component are contained within the kit.
