Configuring Trade Item Structure
To model your kit, create a trade item structure. The trade item structure models the kit and it’s individual kits contained in the kit.
The trade item structure contains information based on your data including:
- Effective Date and Expiration Date – these dates are compared to the trade transaction/trade transaction line to ensure the individual items can be assigned to your trade transaction line that models the kit.
- Item ID – this is the linkage to the underlying item containing information about the kit. Since this is a package for the kit, it does not need to have classification codes specified.
- Inventory Organization – this is the inventory organization where the kit is produced . This may also be used when matching a trade item structure to a trade transaction line.
- Trade Item Structure Components – this is the list of items included in the kit.
