Order Release Line Packing Detail

This action is accessed via Order Release Manager > Order Management > Actions > Change Order > Order Release Line Packing. Select packaged items and click New Ship Unit.

Use this page to enter ship unit packing information, and the quantity to pack for each line.

Packing an Order Release Line

  1. Select a Transport Handling Unit to define what the item is shipped on, such as a pallet. Transport handling units are a type of ship unit specification.
  2. Enter the Transport Handling Unit Count.
  3. Enter the Total Gross Weight, Total Gross Volume, Gross Weight and Volume per Ship Unit and choose a unit of measurement for each.
  4. Select a Flexible Commodity Qualifier.
  5. Enter a Commodity Code.
  6. Enter the Length, Width, Height, Diameter, and Core Diameter per Ship Unit. See also Ship Unit Height Calculation.

    Note: The property glog.business.equipment.allowRotation impacts how the ship unit fits in the equipment.

  7. Select the Order Release Equipment.
  8. If a ship unit with a quantity of 0 or 1 can be split into multiple ship units and placed on multiple shipments or multiple equipments, select the Bulk Splittable check box.
  9. The Count Splittable check box applies when the ship unit count is 2 or more. If it is selected, you can split one or more (but not all) ship unit pieces of this ship unit. If not selected, you cannot split by piece.

    Note: The Splittable option on the Order Release header overrides these so it must be selected in addition to either of these.

  10. Enter the Net Weight and Net Volume per Ship Unit with their units of measurement.
  11. Enter Tags.

Line Items

  1. Enter the Ship Quantity for each packaged item.
  2. Click Save.
