Priorities

Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition allows for the configuration of three types of priorities:

• Product Priority

• Service Definition Priority

• Product Service Definition Priority

Based on all possible combinations of a service definition priority and a product service definition priority, benefit priorities are generated. Also for each service definition and product service definition priority a benefit priority is generated that is only based on a single priority.

The service definition priority and product service definition priority are combined to form the benefit specification priority when a benefit specification is generated.

A product priority indicates which product gets applied in the event that two or more products overlap.

Priority	Priority is expressed in an integer - the lower the number the higher the priority
Display Name	Display name of the priority

A service definition priority is used as input for generating benefit priorities.

Reference Only?	Is this priority reference only? If set to yes, product priorities based on this service definition priority will not be exported

A product service definition priority is used as input for generating benefit priorities.

A benefit priority indicates which benefit gets applied in the event that two or more benefits overlap.

Short Code	Unique code of the priority (a combination of the code of the service definition priority and the short code of the product service definition priority)
Priority	Priority is expressed in an integer - the lower the number the higher the priority (a combination of the priorities of the service definition priority and the product service definition priority)
Display Name	Display name of the priority (a combination of the display names of the service definition priority and the product service definition priority)
