Countries and Regions
A country region is an area that is clearly defined by a geographical border such as a province or a state. Country regions are created and maintained in Claims and are imported in Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition through the building blocks integration point. Because country regions are only unique per country, Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition stores a country reference table.
The function setup country region groups in Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition offers the possibility to create country region groups and to add country regions to this group or delete them from the group. Country region groups and their country regions can be exported through the Export in Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition.

Country Region Group
A country region group assembles country regions in a logical set. For example, the country region group 'West coast States' would assemble the country regions Washington, Oregon and California.
It is possible to specify three different country regions (or groups) on a product service definition: for the person, for the provider and for the employer. If a country region (group) is specified for a person, the product service definition only applies to person having a home address in this country region (group).
If a country region (group) is specified for a provider, the product service definition only applies to providers having a site address in this country region (group). If a country region (group) is specified for an employer, the product service definition only applies to employers having a site address in this country region (group). The employer’s site address is based on enrollment information.
