After declaring an asset placeholder, you typically specify that placeholder as the subject of a workflow task. By doing so, you require users to supply the missing assets before they can advance the project beyond that task.

Note: An asset placeholder must be declared as required in order to be used as a task subject.

For example, if a workflow declares a Press Release asset placeholder, you can specify that placeholder as the subject of the Author task. A project that uses this workflow must include this asset before the project can be advanced beyond this task.

To set up a task subject:

  1. In the ACC, display the desired workflow.

  2. Declare the Asset Placeholder at some point in the workflow before the target task element.

  3. Create a task element or right-click an existing one—for example, right-click the Author task element. The Task Details dialog box appears.

  4. In the Task Subject field, select the name of the asset placeholder you declared in step 2.

  5. Save the workflow.
