This scenario offers anonymous customers an incentive to register in the form of a one time 20% discount. The scenario works by displaying a graphic with the incentive on the homepage when the customer first comes to the site. Again, it’s a piece of media in the MediaSlot slot.
The second segment then waits to see what the customer does next: registers or logs in. If the segment sees a registration event, then it gives the customer the promotion. Either way, the media is then removed from the slot, as the customer is now a member and no longer needs to see the incentive.
