The user profiling Web services provided with the Oracle Commerce Platform allow you to access the profile repository from a non-Oracle Commerce Platform application. You can use these Web services to perform login and logout operations, create new profiles and change existing ones, and manage passwords.

Note: In the sections that follow, some Web service descriptions include URLs with the variables hostname:port. For hostname, use the name of the machine running your application. For port, enter the number of the port that your application server uses to handle HTTP requests on that machine.
