Appendix A Running the Corente Virtual Services Gateway on a Virtual Machine

If you would like to use a single server to supply multiple services at a site, the Corente Gateway Software can be installed and run on a virtual machine (VM). The Corente service is compatible with the following VM servers:

For all products, in preparation for installation, you must obtain the .iso image file of the Corente Gateway Software (i.e., the file provided for CD installation). This file can be downloaded at http://www.corente.com/pub/release/current/iso/. You must also create a configuration file for the new gateway in App Net Manager, the same way that you would for an ordinary gateway running on its own server.

To install the software and configuration file, follow the instructions provided in this document for each VM server to create a new virtual machine and deploy an application on it.
