Installation Tasks on Oracle Solaris 10 and Linux
The following table shows the order of tasks you must perform to install
Oracle Developer Studio 12.5 on Oracle Solaris 10 and Linux.
Note -
If you have not yet downloaded the Oracle Developer Studio
12.5 distribution for your platform, you can get it from the downloads section on the
Oracle Developer Studio web page and save it to a temporary
download-directory such as
/var/tmp.

1. Verify that the system on which you are installing
Oracle Developer Studio 12.5 meets the minimum hardware and operating
system requirements for this release.

2. Verify that the system has the required system software
packages.
|
|
3. Determine whether you are going to display the installer
locally or remotely.
|
|
4. (Optional) Prepare for installing on an NFS file system if
installing on a network.
|
|
5. Determine whether you are going to use the interactive
graphical installer or the non-interactive command-line
installer.

6. Install the Oracle Developer Studio packages.
|
|
7. Install the required OS patches.
|
|
8. (Optional) Install the runtime libraries and the required OS
patches on systems where applications built by Oracle Developer Studio are to
be run but where Oracle Developer Studio is not installed.
