Route the Cables
When cabling a topology, start at the nodes of the fabric or hosts of the network,
and work toward the switch.

Identify the prerequisite and subsequent installation tasks that you must
perform in conjunction with this task.
See Installation Task Overview.

Prepare the cables to connect the nodes or hosts to the switch.
See (Optional) Assemble the QSFP Cables or
(Optional) Assemble the SFP+ Cables.

Prepare and verify that the nodes or hosts are operational, properly
configured, and ready to accept fabric or network cabling.

For each node or host, begin data cabling.

Attach the cable to the appropriate connector of the node or
host.

Route and bundle the data cable through the topology following the
cautions provided in this document.

Bring the cables to the location in the rack where the switch is
installed.

Repeat Step 1
through Step 3 for
each node or host.

Connect the cables to the switch.
