How to Associate a Floating IP Address with a Project

Part of the configuration of the network is the creation of floating IP addresses. See How to Create the External Network. Use this procedure to allocate some of those IP addresses to a project.

  1. On the left panel, select the Project > Compute > Access & Security tab.
  2. Click the Floating IPs tab.
  3. Click the Allocate IP To Project button.

The Allocate Floating IP dialog box opens.

  4. From the drop-down menu, select a pool from which to allocate the floating IP.
  5. Click the Allocate IP button in the dialog.

An IP address is added to the Floating IPs list. You can allocate as many IPs as you want or as allowed by the quota.
