The program description deals with the following:
The data for connection of a Card reader terminal from type Xafax Reader can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed.
The interface and linkage to a process unit should be defined and the device-specific operating mode of the Card reader terminal should be set.

Only select a value higher than "0" for the
debug level if a protocol is required for the communication of the card reader
terminal for error analysis. The protocol appears in file "errlog" in
directory work of the appropriate system unit.

The name "CARDREADER" is entered in this field to ensure that the appropriate function is completed by the terminal program. This name should only changed in exceptional cases.
