The program description deals with the following:
Basic data update, i.e. programming, changing or clearing, is possible with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.
An EAN can be assigned with this program to an article stored in the system, but only if no special parameters are linked to the EAN.
Every article is stored in the POS system under a number. If an article is recorded via the keyboard, the number entry is released with the Article key. If an automatic reading device is used, the bar code label (EAN) of an article is scanned.
Special parameters can be stored in program Branch for specific EANs. The parameters then apply to all articles in the branch.
The EAN parameters stored in the system define how EANs are to be interpreted. Certain sectors of an EAN can be interpreted as an article no., a department no., or as a weight, quantity or price.

Note:
Articles for which the EAN are to be
interpreted differently as per the EAN parameter
should not be linked to an article no. here.
