The following program description deals with:

Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can maintain promotion groups for a promotion; insert new records, edit and delete the existing ones. You can also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.

Click on the graphic for help on promotions.

With this program you can implement different promotion groups. In promotion groups, items are grouped and assigned with the same promotion conditions (such as discount). Various promotion groups with varying conditions can be linked to a promotion. In addition, it is also possible to link promotion groups into Elements.

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:


Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company for which the promotion group is to be created or modified.

If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

The company data is maintained with the Company program.


Promotion

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the promotion to be created or modified.


Group no.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the promotion group to be created or modified.


Descriptor

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max 20 characters

Enter the name of the promotion. The description is arbitrary.


Element no.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter into this field the number of the element, if elements are to be assigned to this promotion group.

If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.


Type

Field with fixed preset selection options

A promotion type is linked in program Promotion if this type is to apply to all linked promotion groups. It is also possible to link a different promotion type to each group if a different type of promotion is to apply to specific groups in a promotion.

Normally, the promotion type set in program Promotion applies, unless a different promotion type has been set for the group in question. In such a case, the promotion type of the group has priority over the setting in program Promotion.

Select one of the options in the list by clicking the field button and the desired option in the drop-down list.

The system offers the following types of promotions:


No promotion

Select this option if only the promotion type selected in program Promotion is to apply.

Turnover/group

Select this promotion type if a Value disc. is to apply to this promotion group. The discount value is entered in field Disc.value. Enter a value in field Quantity to define as from which quantity the value discount is to be granted.

Example:
Val.disc. = 1.00 Quantity 0= 1
A value discount of 1.00 is granted per promotion item sold.

Rab.Wert = 1.00 Quantity = 2
If 2 items in this group are sold or if one item of this group is sold twice, a value discount of 1.00 will be granted.

Turn. percent

Select this type of promotion if a percent discount is to be granted. The percent is entered in field Disc.percent. Enter a value in field Quantity to define the quantity to be sold before the percent discount can be granted.

Example:
Disc.percent = 15 Quantity = 1
A 15% discount will be granted per promotion item sold.

Disc.percent = 15 Quantity = 2
A 15% discount will be granted if 2 items of this group are sold or if an item in this group is sold twice.

Turn. item

Select this promotion type if a turnover discount per item sold is to be granted when the defined quantity is sold. The discount value is entered in field Disc.Value and the number of items is entered in field Quantity.

Example:
Disc.val. = 3.00 Quantity = 3
When 3 items of this group are sold, a discount value of 3.00 is granted per promotion item sold.

Total turnover

Select this promotion type if a value discount is to be assigned when the quantity defined is achieved. The discount value is entered in field Disc.Value and the quantity of items is entered in field Quantity. A discount is then assigned for each further item sold when the defined quantity is achieved.

Example:
Disc.value = 3.00 Quantity = 3
When 3 items in this group are sold, a discount value of 3.00 is granted. When this quantity has been achieved, a discount will also be granted for every other item of this group sold.

Perc. turnover

Select this type of promotion for which a percent discount is to be granted when the quantity is achieved for the linked promotion group. The percentage value is entered in field Disc.percent and the quantity of items is entered in field Quantity. After the quantity is reached, a percentage discount will be granted for every further item in this group sold.

Example:
Disc.percent = 15 Quantity = 3
When 3 items in a group are sold, a percent discount of 15% will be granted. When this quantity has been achieved, a percent discount of 15% will be granted for every further item in this group sold.

Free item

Select this promotion type if a discount of the value of the item is to be granted when the quantity defined for the items in this group. The quantity as from which a discount is to be granted is entered in field Quantity. The item quantity to qualify for the discount is entered in field free item.

Example:
Quantity = 3 free item = 2
When 3 articles of a group are sold, a value discount of 2 items is granted.

Set Price

Select this promotion type if a special price, a so-called Set Price, is to be granted when the defined quantity is sold for the items in this group..

Example:
The example below demonstrates the sale of items in packs of 2, 3 and 4.

·        In a set of 2 an item Pizza is sold as a set with a drink. In this case the retail price of all items in this set is reduced.

·        In a set of 3 the items Pizza, drink and salad are sold as a set. In this case the retail price of all items in this set is reduced.

·        In a set of 4 items Pizza, drink, salad and dessert are sold as a set of 4. In this case the retail price of all items in this set is reduced.

A promotion should be programed under Promotions for each set and these should have the same period of validity.

Price Table

Select this promotion type if a special price is to be granted when a defined quantity of items in this group is sold. The number as from which the special price is to apply is entered in field Quantity. The price as from which a specified receipt total is to apply for these items can be entered in the price table. Several receipt totals with varying promotion prices can be defined for the promotion item.

Beispiel:
Item 200 = 25.00 EUR (Standardpreis)

·        Position 1 = value (turnover for this item 100.00), table price =20.00 EUR
If the purchase total exceeds 100.00 EUR the promotion item is sold at a price of 20.00 EUR.
(5 x Item 200 at promotion price of 10.00 Euro = 100.00 Euro instead of 125.00 Euro)

·        Position 2 = value (turnover 200.00), table price =15.00 EUR
If the purchase total exceeds 200.00 EUR the promotion item is sold at a price of 15.00 EUR.
(9 x Item 200 at promotion price of 15.00 Euro = 135.00 Euro instead of 225.00 Euro)

·        Position 3 = value (turnover 500.00), table price =10.00 EUR
If the purchase total exceeds 500.00 EUR the promotion item is sold at a price of 10.00 EUR.
(21 x Item 200 at promotion price of 10.00 Euro = 210.00 Euro instead of 525.00 Euro)

A value discount amounting to the difference between the original price and the price table will be granted.

Cheapest free

Select this type of promotion if the cheapest item is to be given away free when the defined quantity is reached. The quantity as from which the cheapest item is to be sold free is entered in field Quantity. The promotion items are entered in the item list.

Example:
Quantity = 2

Item 200 = 25.00 EUR,
Item 201 = 22.00 EUR
Item 202 = 23.00 EUR

When two items in this list are sold, the cheapest will be given away free.

Free stamps

Select this promotion type if free stamps are to be issued for the items in this group.


Discount value

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 10 digits including max. 2 decimal places

Enter the discount value of the promotion group.


Disc. percent

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 5 digits including max. 2 decimal places

Enter the discount percentage rate of the promotion group.


Promot.price

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 10 digits including max. 2 decimal places

Enter the promotion price for the items belonging to this promotion group.


Quantity

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 digits including max. 3 decimal places

Enter the quantity above which the promotion conditions defined here are valid.


Free item

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 digits including max. 3 decimal places

Entries in this field are only necessary if this promotion is type Free item. Enter the number oif items in this field which are required to qualify for the discount.


Max.articles with promotion

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99

A value can be entered in this field to define the maximum no. of promotion items permitted for one transaction.

 

Example (set price promotion):
Single item price = 4,50 Euro
In set of 2 = 6.00 Euro (=3.00 Euro per item)

Max, item with promotion = 4 pcs.

 

When 4 items of this group are sold a discount of 6.00 will be granted  (per Item = 1,5 Euro). The next item and all other items are recorded in this receipt at the original price of 4,50  If 5 items are recorded in one receipt the receipt total amounts to 16,50 Euro.


With deposit charge (Beverage)

Button activated:  Deposit is charged for this promotion item.
Button deactivated: Deposit is not charged for this promotion item.


Type (Beverage)

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the options offered for the pack unit of this item by clicking on this field and with a second click confirming the option required.

The system offers the following options:


Dept. (Beverage)

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the no. of the department in this field if items of this department are to be added to this promotion. The items are transferred to the item list with "Transfer to item table".


Number of points

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 999999999

 

 


Point Band

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the point band which should be linked to the promotion group.

If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.


Triggertyp

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the options offered for the trigger type by clicking on this field and with a second click confirming the option required.

The system offers the following trigger types:

 

Note:
With the use of a trigger type, additional conditions can be configured for the promtion.

 

Beispiel (Triggertyp Betrag):
Sie haben eine Aktion vom Type "Umsatz % Gruppe" eingerichtet. Im Feld "Rab. Prozent" haben Sie den Wert 10 und im Feld "Anzahl" den Wert 1eingegeben damit auf diesem Artikel bei einem Verkauf ein Rabatt von 10 Prozent gewährt wird. Der Artikelpreis ist = € 5,00.

 

Wenn Sie nun den Triggertyp "Betrag" wählen und im Feld Triggerbetrag den Wert 15 eingeben, wird erst dann ein Rabatt vergeben wenn dieser Artikel mindestens 3 Mal verkauft worden ist. Der Rabatt wird in diesem Fall auf jeden einzelnen Artikel gewährt.

 

Artikelpreis = 5,00

Rabatt. Prozent = 10

Anzahl = 1

Anzahl verkaufter Artikel = 3

Ergebnis = 13,50


Triggerbetrag

Entry range permitted: decimal, max. 8 pos.with max. 2 decimal places

Wenn als Triggertyp "Betrag" ausgewählt haben, müssen Sie in diesem Feld einen Wert eingeben damit erst ab diesem Betrag ein Rabatt gewährt wird.


Trigger weight

Entry range permitted: decimal, max. 3 pos.with max. 2 decimal places

Wenn als Triggertyp "Gewicht" ausgewählt haben, müssen Sie in diesem Feld einen Wert eingeben damit erst ab diesem Gewicht ein Rabatt gewährt wird.
