Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program, you can create a suggestion list in which the item positions that can be deleted from the database are stored.

Attention!
When a Multi-Branch Installation is used, this program for the characterization of deleteable items can only be started in the central (main installation). Attempts to start the program in a branch (sub-installation) will be rejected with a corresponding error message.

In a first step, the formal data, i.e. the selection data for the items to be deleted, is created via the program Suggested Deletion Item.

In a second step, the suggestion list with the items to be deleted is generated by a click on the button "Create List", and in a third step, you can edit the list with the item positions by use of the program Suggested Deletion Item Position before you finish the process.

Notes:

The entire process of the creation of the item deletion suggestion list is only finished correctly after you have clicked on the button shown below after saving your entries via the tool bar:

Execute

The transactions are carried out, and the items which correspond to the selection criteria and the conditions receive the characterization "Deleteable". At the same time, the suggestion list receives the search status "Confirmed".

Please note:
After you have confirmed a suggestion list, you can still view but not edit the data.

Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:

The Input Mask may be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the application. In some cases some Data Fields may be missing.
Some input fields may contain default values or defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
The input mask contains some fields that require an entry and others in which entries are optional.
If the data record is updated via multi-page input masks, go to the Dialog Window by clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
The same procedure applies to call up another update program from this program.
In some cases you may find that so-called "Switches" which - depending on the default - can be activated or deactivated with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified by their dark color, deactivated switches are lighter-colored.

Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company on the level of which the suggestion list for the deletion of items is to be generated.

If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

SD item no.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

With a new suggestion list, you have to enter a new number in this field. If you enter a number which has already been stored in the system, the data of this suggestion list will be displayed.

Descriptor

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars.

You can enter a text describing this suggestion list.

Branch

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999

Displays the number of the branch in which this program has been started.

Operator

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Displays the number of the operator who started this program.

Date

Permitted input range: DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)

After the button "Execute" in the tool bar has been clicked on, the current date is stored in this field.

Time

Permitted input range: HHMMSS (hour, minute, second)

After the button "Execute" in the tool bar has been clicked on, the current time is stored in this field.

Item ref. date

Permitted input range: DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)

Enter the date to define that only items that have been created in the database up to this date will be included in the suggestion list.

Note:
Please note that with a new creation of an item, the creation date is stored in the database. In the update program Item, this date is displayed in the field "Creation Date".

Turnover ref. date

Permitted input range: DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)

Enter a date to define that only items that have been sold up to this date will be included in the suggestion list.

Max.quantity

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 positions, max. 3 decimal digits

Enter a value for the maximum sold quantity if you would like to include only items for which the quantity entered here has not been exceeded in the suggestion list.

Entries in this field are only permissive if a valid date has been entered in the field Item Ref Date.

Max.turnover

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 12 positions, max. 2 decimal digits

Enter a value for the maximum turnover if you would like to include only items for which the turnover value entered here has not been exceeded in the suggestion list.

Entries in this field are only permissive if a valid date has been entered in the field Turnover Ref Date.
