Station
The following program description deals with:
By use of this program you can update the data for a
station, i.e., insert new records, edit and delete the existing ones. You can
also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.
In the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application, it is possible to split the
tables in a profit centers into smaller organizational units, the so-called
stations for further assignment to waiters.
Note:
- It depends on the organizational
structure of your company whether stations are set up in the system.
- The tables of a profit center are divided
up into stations.
- The waiter is linked to a station and
this defines the responsibility for certain tables.
- Since a station is a subunit of a profit
center, the profit center has to be created in the system before a station
can be assigned.
- A profit center can have more than one
station assigned to it, but a station can be assigned to only one profit
center.
- Please note that a waiter programmed as a
Dispenser waiter cannot be linked to a station.
- The tables of a station and the
arrangement can be shown as a graphic on the terminal (see graphic dynamic table) and in addition can be configured with a dynamic table
display (see Dynamic
table).
- In addition, a graphic dynamic table can
be displayed for a waiter with status "Head waiter" for the
whole profit center (see Dynamic
table for head waiter).
This paragraph will provide a short overview over the
options available for updating these Basic Data.
Just like in almost any other program:
- The Input Mask may

- The input mask contains some fields that
require an entry and others in which entries are optional.
- If the data record is updated via
multi-page input masks, go to the Dialog Window by
clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure applies to call up
another update program from this program.
