3.1 Space Requirements

Location: part 1, page 1, Space Requirements pane

The Space Requirements pane provides dimensional and weight information about the product. It allows the administrator to ensure that there is enough space and lifting capacity to receive the packaged appliance, observe the necessary maintenance clearance, remove the packaging, and transport the appliance from the receiving area to the installation site.

Steps:

  1. Receiving and unpacking.

A 2-column table displays the height, width, depth and weight of the product. The first column applies to the packaged base rack with shipping pallet. The second column applies to a fully populated base rack without packaging.

    Note

One should allow enough space around the product to remove the shipping cartons. In addition, the minimum required depth for roll-off is 4.5 meters, or 15 feet. Refer to the Sun Rack II Unpacking Guide (820-5210) included with the packaging for further details.

  2. Maintenance clearance.

A table displays how much maintenance clearance is required at the front, rear and top of the rack, and how much space is required to remove the side panels.

  3. Access route to installation site.

A 2-column table displays the minimum door and elevator dimensions, maximum incline, and minimum loading capacity of the elevator, pallet jack and floor on the route to the installation site. The first column applies to the base rack with shipping pallet. The second column applies to the base rack without shipping pallet.
