Use this task to create a new Gantt or TSLD layout that initially has the P6 Visualizer default settings.
After you finish this task, you can modify the new layout by modifying its settings.
To create a new report:
- Click
Add.
- Select TSLD, Gantt, or Schedule Comparison.
- In the Create or Open dialog box:
If you chose TSLD or Gantt:
- Select your projects from the Available Projects list and add to the Selected Projects list. You can search this list. Click Next.
- Create a new layout or create a new layout from an existing layout.
If you choose Create new, enter a name for the layout. If the name already exists, it is incremented with a -1, or the next available integer, for example, New TSLD-1.
If you choose Create new from existing, enter a name for the layout in the Name field and select an existing layout from the Layout list. - For TSLD layouts, enable Draw on demand to improve Visualizer performance significantly for layouts representing large projects.
- Click Draw.
If you chose Schedule Comparison:
- Create a new layout or create a new layout from an existing layout.
If you choose Create new, enter a name for the layout. If the name already exists, it is incremented with a -1, or the next available integer, for example, New TSLD-1.
If you choose Create new from existing, enter a name for the layout in the Name field and select an existing layout from the Layout list.Click Options.
- On the Projects tab:
- Select Projects or Baselines.
- Select your projects or baselines from the Available list and add to the Original project or Revised project list. You can search this list.
- On the General tab:
- Choose whether to Group report by activity.
- Configure the Send Report To section.
- Select a name and location for the report in the Output File section.
- On the Advanced tab select the information to compare.
- Click Save, Save As or Save & Draw.
