Modifying a Gantt or TSLD Layout

Use this task to draw and modify a Gantt or TSLD layout.

After you finish this task, you can save, view, and print the diagram.

Before you begin this task, ensure you have done one of the following tasks:

To modify a layout:

  1. On the Layout Options page:
    1. If you are creating a Gantt layout, click the Chart & Grid tab to modify column and text wrapping, as applicable.

      Note: If you are creating a TSLD layout, this tab is hidden.

    2. Click the Timescale tab to modify the timescale, dates, and vertical sight lines, as applicable.
    3. Click the Bars & Labels tab to modify bar formatting and bar content settings, as applicable.
    4. Click the Lines tab to modify relationship lines, data date lines, connection information, and activity group lines and associated formatting, as applicable.
    5. Click the Group & Sort tab to modify grouping and sorting criteria, as applicable.
    6. Click the Filters tab to modify filtering criteria, as applicable
    7. Click the Page Setup tab to modify page formatting criteria, as applicable.
    8. If you want to create the Gantt or TSLD to view the results of your changes, click Save & Draw.
  2. Repeat the applicable previous substeps as necessary to customize the layout.

    Note: To edit global layouts, you must have the Add/Edit/Delete Global Visualizer Layouts privilege, and to edit project layouts, you must have the Add/Edit/Delete Project Layouts privilege. If you do not have the necessary privilege, the Options button is disabled. However, once you draw the layout, use Save As to create a user layout if you want to view Options.
