Guidelines for Using SuiteApprovals Email Notifications
Take note of the following guidelines about email notifications:
-
With Advanced PDF/HTML Templates feature, you can attach records or documents to email notifications sent to approvers. Alternatively, approvers can use the link in the email to view the record in NetSuite.
-
If the record for approval has the Employee field filled in, that employee appears as the email sender.
-
The language used in automated email notifications is based on the following:
The language in automated email notifications depends on the following criteria:
-
In NetSuite OneWorld accounts, it’s the language set for the submitter’s subsidiary.
-
If you don't have a OneWorld account, it's your account’s preferred language.
The same language rules apply to rerouted or resubmitted records.
Additionally, if there’s an error with the tag (a unique string of characters), the email notification is sent in English.
-
-
A routed record goes to the next approver after the first approval, or gets resubmitted for approval. For more information, see Resubmitting Records for Approval
Note:For rerouted or resubmitted records in OneWorld accounts, the email notification uses the submitter’s subsidiary language. If you don’t have a OneWorld account, it uses the preferred language.
-
Concurrency issues can happen when there are several next approvers. For example, if multiple employees in Group (All) or Group (Any) types reply at the same time. For more information, see Managing the Email Approval Log.
-
If Email Approval is disabled, any approver action from an email approval request isn’t valid.
