Shipment Management

Tender Information

This page is accessed via Shipment Management > Power Data > Geography > Lane Definition. This is on the Tender Information tab.

In the tendering process, the Tender Response Time (TRT) can be calculated based on a contact's communication method, calendar, and expected response time duration as defined in the contact manager.

However, you can also configure a tender response time for a specific lane record for the service providers and have Oracle Transportation Management use this time in the tendering process. To do this, you must set the USE_LANE_TENDER_RESPONSE_TIME workflow parameter to TRUE (default is FALSE).

Adding Lane Based Tender Information

  1. Specify a tender Response Time for the lane.
  2. Optionally, associate a tender response time with one or more Service Providers.
  3. If you specify service providers, you can also identify a Calendar (to model a service provider's office hours, etc.) used to calculate the tender response time for the service provider.
  4. If the service provider accepts open tenders in this lane, select the Open Tender check box.
  5. Click Save for each response time you define.

Note: If consolidated notification is sent instead of regular tender notification, the tender response time is calculated for each tender based on the notification time. The tender timeout timers are activated at the same time. Otherwise, the tender response time/timeout timer is set when the regular tender is sent.

Auto Secure Resource Profile

  1. If you have enabled workflow to auto secure a response, select an Auto Secure Resource Profile ID from the selection box.
  2. Click Save for each auto secure resource profile you define.
