Defining Activity Types

The Activity Type portal is used to maintain activity types. An activity type represents a broad range of activities, such as maintenance, repairs, inspections, and so on.

Refer to Understanding Activity Types for more information.

You can access this portal from Admin, select A, then select Activity Type. The user is brought to a query portal with options for searching for a specific activity type. Once the activity type has been selected, you are brought to the maintenance portal to view and maintain the selected record.

The following zones may appear as part of the portals Main tab page:

• Activity Type: This zone defines the main attributes of an activity type. Activity type definitions can include some of the following: Default Labor Requirements, Activity Scheduling information, Planned Service History, Completion Event Types, and so on.
• Attachments: This zone enables users to manage all types of attachments for the activity type.
