Adding Messages in a File Request Type

Procedure

To add messages in a file request type:

  1. Click the Admin link in the Actions / Navigation area.
    A list appears.
  2. From the Admin menu, select F and then click File Request Type.
    A sub-menu appears.
  3. Click the Add option from the File Request Type sub-menu.
    The File Request Type screen appears.
  4. Enter the appropriate details in the Main and Services section, if required.
  5. Ensure that the Messages section is expanded when you are defining, editing, or copying a file request type. The Messages section consists of following fields:
    Column Name Column Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Message Category Used to specify the message category number.
    Note:

    The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Message Category field. On clicking the search icon, the Message Category Search window appears.

    Message Number Used to specify the number to handle the Retry or Sent for Approval status.
    Note:

    The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Message Number field. On clicking the search icon, the Fetch File Request Type Message Number window appears.

    Message Text Used to indicate description of the message.
    Note: This is read-only field. As the Message Number field is interdependent on Message Category, if you search only for Message Number, no text will appear in the Message Text field. You have to first enter the Message Category, and then choose the Message Number.

    Status Used to specify the status for every file record. The valid values are:
    • Retry

    • Sent for Approval

  6. One or more messages can be configured. If you want to define more than one message for the file request type, click the Add (The Add Icon) icon and then repeat Step 5.
    Note:

    However, if you want to remove a message from the file request type, click the Delete (The Delete Icon) icon corresponding to that message.

  7. Enter the required details and click Save.
    The messages are added in a File Request Type.
