Specialties

A specialty describes the specific health care competencies of a provider. Specialties are created and maintained in OHI Claims Adjudication and Pricing. The product building blocks integration point imports specialties into Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition. In Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition specialties only contain identifying attributes. Specialties therefore do not have their own page in Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition and cannot be deleted or modified.

UUID	Unique identifier across OHI modules
Code	The code for this specialty
Description	The description of the specialty
Active Indicator	Indicator if the specialty can be used for service definitions

A user selects a specialty from a list of values when creating a new service definition.
