Dynamo includes a service that can expose certain components to other applications through Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI). If you write a service according to the RMI specifications, then you can register your service with the Dynamo RMI server, and other applications will be able to access it. The ATG Control Center is an example of an application that accesses the Dynamo server through RMI.
