All RepresentationsThe Address Book category enables you to control the address book management features of Oracle Beehive's User Directory Service. This service manages all aspects of contact management for Oracle Beehive uses in the form of address books and people lists.
Refer to the section "Address Book Management Features Supported by the User Directory Service" in the module "Oracle Beehive Services" in Oracle Beehive Concepts for more information.
An address book is a list of people and their contact information entered or specified by a user or a group of users.
A contact is an entry in an address book. In the BDK, a contact may be a person, group, or resource. All contacts are either internal or external. All Oracle Beehive users are internal contacts; an external contact represents a person who does not have an Oracle Beehive user account or a group or resource.
