Customizations are collections of accessory data that can enhance out of the box Search behavior, depending on the nature of your content and the needs of your users.
To add customization data created in the Workbench to a project:
Do one of the following:
On the Projects tab, go to Projects and click on Your Project Name. In the Content for Indexing section of the project page, click the Manage Content link.
On the Projects tab, go to Your Project Name > Content.
Customizations are divided into two sets.
Language Customizations (Pre-Index) include Core Language Support, which identifies which languages your content uses, and which dictionaries Search requires to index the content; language selection; Dictionaries; Term Weights (see Understanding Term Weights in the Dictionaries chapter); and Text Processing Option Sets. These are applied to your content before indexing.
Post-Index Customizations include Topic Sets, Query Rules, Facet Sets, search configurations you create in ATG Merchandising (see the ATG Merchandising User Guide), and auxiliary data.
To add a customization, select the customization type from the appropriate Add Item list.
Check the specific customizations you want to associate with the project.
Click Save to save your selections and return to the Content page.
