You can download firmware and software updates from the My Oracle Support (MOS) web site. Previously, if your processes did not allow software downloads from Oracle web sites, you could use the MOS web site to submit a physical media request (PMR) in order to receive the latest software release packages. However, Oracle no longer provides free physical media for firmware and software updates. In addition, physical media packs for software applications or operating systems (OSs) are no longer provided for delivery. Instead, you can now use Oracle Software Delivery Cloud for software application and OS downloads. Due to this change, any mention in your server documentation of PMR submissions, and how to perform PMR submissions, is no longer valid.
