When you create a duplicate of an item, the Business Control Center determines the name of the duplicate by appending (copy) to the name of the original. The duplicate’s name must incorporate the name of the original, but you can replace (copy) with another duplicate identifier and change its location in respect to the original name.

The Basic Clone Helper component contains two properties that control the naming format used for duplicated items: cloneNamePrefix and cloneNameSuffix. By altering the contents of these properties, you specify a prefix or suffix that, in combination with the original item’s name, are used for the name of duplicated items. Currently, cloneNameSuffix contains (copy), which adds (copy) to the end of the original name: blender(copy), for example.

When deciding how you want duplicates to be named, consider that items in lists, such as those that display in the Users or User Segments view of the Browse tab, are alphabetized by default. If you specify a prefix for duplicated items, all duplicated items will be grouped together automatically because they begin with the same letters, whereas specifying a suffix will place each duplicate beside the original it is derived from.

For example, you can configure all duplicates to take the format of dupe original_name by following these steps:
