Recording Your Zone Configuration Information

You can use the tables in this section to plan the zone configuration, and to gather the configuration information that you are eventually asked to provide.

Use the set of tables to record the following information for each zone:

  • The number of zones that you want to deploy on each Database Domain (1 to 8 zones)

  • The number of cores for each zone (1 minimum, the maximum depends on how many cores are available in the Database Domain minus 2 or 4 (for the Database Domain), and the number of zones planned for that domain. See Determining the Cores Available for Domains and Zones).

  • The host names and IP addresses that will be assigned to each zone, if you know this information ahead of time, for the following networks:

    • Host management network

    • Client access network

    • IB network

    • VIP
