Recording Your Cluster Configuration Information

Use this table to record the following information for each cluster that you are configuring:

  • Name of cluster (for example, scm7r1 or scm7r2)

  • Zones that are members of this cluster, and the Database Domains where they reside

  • Host name and IP addresses to be used for SCAN for each cluster

Clusters should span across multiple PDomains for high availability. If you are creating a cluster, and a zone in a Database Domain is a member of that cluster on one PDomain, then other zones that are members of that cluster should be in a similar Database Domain on the second PDomain.

The worksheet has entries for eight clusters. But you can have more than eight clusters in your Oracle SuperCluster M8 or Oracle SuperCluster M7, depending on the number of Database Domains that have zones that are members of each cluster, the size of the zones in each cluster, and so on. Copy the worksheet if you have more than eight clusters in your system.
