Remarks on Program Function

The data for a profile for the dispatcher can be updated, i.e. created, changed or deleted, with this program. Data which has already been stored can be displayed.

The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application allows the user to create a profile for Terminal functions on operator and terminal type level and profiles for Application groups and for Application programs, as well as a dispatcher profile. The layout of the Dispatcher can be designed individually and can be linked to a specific operator.

Procedure:

• The linkage of the dispatcher profile is initially done in program Profile text. The framework of a profile is laid down here (profile no., profile name) and the second step is then to personalise the profile by setting up a dispatcher profile to allow for individual customization of the layout.
• The user should change to the update program with button Dispatcher profile if individual buttons are to be deleted or added for this profile.

Remarks on Data Fields

The following details all options available for update of the basic data.

The following applies to this program:

• The entry mask may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the user program. Some data fields may be missing.
• Some data fields may have defaults or defined selection options so that they cannot be updated in this program.
• The entry mask may contain fields with enforced entries, and in other fields entries may be optional.
• If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks the dialog window is reached by clicking on the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
• The procedure is the same if you want to call up another update program from this program.

• In some cases you may find the so-called. "Switches" which are either activated or deactivated - depending on the setting - by clicking with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter. optional.

Profile No.

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 999

The profile no. is displayed automatically. The no. is created in program Profile Text.

Name

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.

Enter the internal name of the update program (Branch, Article etc.) to which a button is to be added or from which it is to be deleted or changed. If the name is not known, the selection window should be opened and the appropriate program selected with a mouse click on the appropriate information.

Grafic

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 32 pos.

Enter the absolute path for the graphic of the button in this field (e.g. ..\bmp\res\item3.bmp).

Orderposition

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99

Enter the position where the button is to appear in the dispatcher.

Disabled

Button active: The button is not shown in the dispatcher.
Button deactivated: The button is shown in the dispatcher.
