Remarks on the Program Function

With this program, you can update the data of the intern MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application RVM connection parameter, create a new data record, modify or delete existing data. You can also view the stored data for information purposes.

From version 4.5 of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application on, an  reverse vending machines (e.g. Tomra) can be connected to the POS system.

As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:


Company

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the company number for which these RVM connection parameters apply.


Branch

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Enter the branch number for which these RVM connection parameters apply.


Para. no.

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9

Enter he number of  the RVM connection parameter. If changes or clear operations are necessary, the data record should be called up from entry of a number in the key fields.


Descriptor

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric, max. 20 pos.

Enter the name of the RVM connection parameter.


Installation

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Enter the installation number for which these RVM connection parameters apply.

If a new record is to be programmed, a free number should be entered in the key fields.

Changes or clear operations are possible after entering the number of the data record in the key fields. If the number is not known, it can be selected with Search.


Process unit

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the process unit in this field, which has been configured for the application from type RVM Online connection.


Poll interval

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Enter the value in this field, to determine the poll interval to get the data from the RVM machine.

Default = 120 milliseseconds


Debug

Entry range permitted: numeric,01 - 9

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol of the communication with the RVM application is required for error analysis. The data appears in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.
