Suivez cette procédure pas à pas pour effectuer la configuration initiale des interfaces réseau, du DNS (Domain Name Server, service de noms de domaine), des paramètres d'heure, des services de nom, des services d'annuaire, du stockage et du support à distance sur l'appareil en utilisant l'interface de ligne de commande (CLI).
Chaque étape débute par l'affichage de l'aide correspondante, qui peut être affichée à nouveau en saisissant help. Exécutez la commande done après chacune des étapes pour indiquer qu'elle est terminée. Dans les exemples, les paramètres existants (obtenus depuis le serveur DHCP) sont contrôlés et acceptés en saisissant done. Si vous souhaitez les personnaliser, accédez à chaque contexte (datalinks, devices et interfaces) et saisissez help pour afficher les actions disponibles dans le contexte concerné.

NIS est un ancien protocole de répertoire qui n'est pas très sécurisé. Il est largement remplacé par le protocole LDAP. Il est déconseillé d'utiliser les protocoles NIS et LDAP en même temps car ils utilisent le même paramètre de nom de domaine.
