Release 24 is a Digital ERP release, delivering innovation that automates, optimizes, and transforms business processes and represents Oracle's continued investment that furthers customer's digital transformation.
JD Edwards introduces Enterprise Automation for Order to Cash. This new functionality enables you to generate a process flow that uses the real-time data of your organization to provide guidance for controlling and coordinating the flow and sequence of tasks that help to achieve overall objectives and goals as efficiently as possible. This enhancement also provides visibility to orders at key stages of the order to cash process to help you maximize on-time and accurate order fulfillment and make better use of data to help reveal trouble spots that adversely impact your KPIs.

Enterprise Automation for Procurement now provides charts that help measure critical metrics in the process. This enhancement enables you to improve enterprisewide operations through integrated automation and generated data. The objectives are to:
New options for lot/serial number and location assignment enable you to speed up manufacturing work order processing and reduce the chances of oversight or error.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enables its Real Estate Management users to update the subledger with building number while posting recurring billing entries thus providing them with additional flexibility.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enables its Real Estate Management users to view the reason code for voided transactions in manual billing using the Tenant Ledger Inquiry program. This information helps the users in making fast and informed decisions thus increasing their efficiency.

With this enhancement, the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system accepts PIX as a form of payment. PIX is the Brazilian IP scheme that enables customers, companies, and government entities to always send or receive payment transfers within a few seconds, including non-business days. Starting in February 2024, banks no longer offer money transactions through DOC (Credit Order Document) or TED (Electronic Transfer), which are commonly used by companies to make payments to suppliers.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Localization updates are posted on My Oracle Support under Globalizations: Localizations, Translations, Certifications / Registrations (Doc ID 752291.1).
This feature enhances the Orchestrator Connector step (REST or OpenAPI) to assign the returned HTTP status code to an orchestration variable. Having the HTTP status code as an orchestration variable then gives the orchestration designer more control over an intelligent reaction to the HTTP status. For example, if a third-party system returns an HTTP status of 500, the orchestration might pass that status into a rule, which in turn sends a notification message indicating the failure.

This feature enhances Orchestrator data requests and form requests with the ability to reorder the elements of arrays returned from these steps. The orchestration designer has more control over the orchestration output, and specifically the order of elements (columns) when output to CSV files.
Product Catalog
This feature enables the orchestration designer to reorder orchestration inputs, thus enabling orchestrations to more easily integrate to user interfaces or third-party systems that may be sensitive to the order of inputs.
Product Catalog
This feature enhances the Maximum Records option in Orchestrator form requests and data requests to be able to accept a variable number of rows to be returned. For example, an orchestration designer can create an orchestration to return a list of all sales orders at a certain status, and also provide an input variable for the number of rows to be returned. An application that invokes the orchestration, such as a mobile application, can then enable the user to specify the number of rows to return.

This feature enhances the exception response from an error on a form service request to include the field name, data item alias, and table where the data is stored. For grid errors, the exception response also includes the row number on which the error occurred. This additional information simplifies the process of identifying and correcting errors that occur on form service requests.

This feature enhances the Orchestrator Connector step to allow files to be sent to external REST APIs either as a multipart request or as a single part request (without multipart boundaries in the request body).
Product Catalog
This feature makes launching of orchestrations from EnterpriseOne pages and form extensions more user-friendly by enabling the designer to override the input names. For example, a designer can rename an orchestration input called “GridIn_1_2” to “Item List.”

This feature enables the Watchlist designer to specify whether the threshold value is breached when the value exceeds the threshold (ascending) or when the value is below the threshold (descending).
Product Catalog
This feature enables the job queue to be passed into an orchestration report step as a variable. The specified job queue may be supplied by the third-party system or client as an orchestration input, or it may be derived from some other orchestration step. This feature further enhances the power and flexibility when EnterpriseOne reports are called from orchestrations.

The My Workflow Monitor feature expands the audience that can benefit from Workflow Monitor by visualizing the status, progress, and metrics of workflows, but only those workflows in which individuals are involved as participants. This feature also provides additional capabilities for administrators to filter by a user who initiated or who is assigned a task in a workflow.

This feature extends the supported authentication mechanisms that EnterpriseOne Orchestrator can use to call external services provided by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Specifically, this feature enables the use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure API Signature Version 1 to authenticate to services such as Oracle Document Understanding.

This feature provides a consistent, convenient user experience for viewing PDF attachments, which are the most common attachment type other than text. This feature displays a PDF attachment without the requirement that you first download the file to your local desktop, resulting in fewer clicks and a smoother experience.
Product Catalog
This feature simplifies the user experience of viewing attachments (media objects) by providing a media object viewer pane on a form layout. As you scroll through records in a grid, if the record has attachments, they are automatically displayed in the attachment viewer pane. If the record has multiple attachments, you can click to select any attachment to view.

The UDO Extensibility Guide is an extension to the standard JD Edwards Extensibility Guide. This guide outlines the recommended practices on what happens to User Defined Objects (UDOs) when updates are applied to the system that affect those objects, as well as best ways to modify Oracle UDOs in order to retain their personalization.

This feature standardizes the location of third-party files and alters Server Manager to retain those files after tools component changes on the Enterprise Server.
Product Catalog
This feature creates additional external REST API exposure for Server Manager to be able to provide and manipulate Java and JDBC versions across various instance types, as well as to message and terminate user sessions.
Product Catalog
Customers now have greater visibility into user access and application usage which enables them to ensure that users have the appropriate roles and authority across environments and modules.
Product Catalog
Customers can now automatically generate serialized objects for frequently used objects, objects based on language preference, and objects for a specific path code. Customers can also clear serialized objects for a specific object.

Customers with multi-cloud deployments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure can now use Microsoft Entra ID as an external identity provider with Oracle Identity and Access Management for their single sign-on requirements.
